CBS News Anchor Larry Mendte to Visit Cape May Film Festival
(Cape May, NJ) Larry Mendte, a CBS news anchor in Philadelphia, will be down to answer questions after the screening of his documentary, "Alex Scott: A Stand for Hope." The film tells the inspirational story of a 4-year old girl who starts a powerful fundraising movement for cancer research. The film will screen on Sunday, November 18, during the Festival’s brunch. The Festival runs from November 15-18 in Cape May.
One of Philadelphia’s most honored broadcasters, Mendte has earned 16 regional Emmy Awards since returning to the Delaware Valley, three of which were in the “Best Anchor” category. His award-winning documentary has been in several film festivals nationwide.
